That and the fact that it pulls the oldest cliche in the book of ending the horror story with the sound of someone turning off the light, really makes it hard to feel satisfied with the playthroug.St. The fact that all the suspense and mystery builds up to a generic RPG boss battle completely ruins the atmosphere and kills the tone of the story. The suspenseful atmosphere completely goes away once the game starts throwing scary faces at you left and right feels like they didn't know where to go once the game started getting darker. Scares very heavy handed once you reach the end of the game. It feels like the game is rushing you to the next scary moment, without allowing any time to absorb the atmosphere. It feels like the characters make WAY too many comments like "it's to die for" or "I'd kill for some vegetables" and it feels very cliche. The scares feel original and thought out (especially the flashlight segments) The game also advertises a myriad of "post-game content" that unfortunately boils down to overly in your face horror segments that feel rushed and nowhere near as immersive as the main story. With all the tension and dread the story built up to, the ending felt incredibly cliche and anticlimactic. That being said, upon finishing the game I found myself feeling very unsatisfied. They have a fantastic sense of how to get under the viewer's skin, and the art and music really drives that paranoid feeling to your core. The main story is one of the most chilling horror stories I've experienced in a while. First off I want to say that this game is 100% worth playing.
